Como is the key port town to start most of Lake Como onward journeys. It is a quaint lakeside town with a relaxing vibe. To be honest 4 days I thought was 1 day too many and unfortunately I didn't document this trip properly.

Accommodations
Posta Design Hotel is a boutique in the town centre 10 min walk from the Como Lago Station, if you are coming from Milan thats where you will be stopping. The rooms are stylish ,neat and conveniently located. I believe they recently had a renovation. There are plenty of other unique accommodations in this historic town.
Sightseeing and Restaurants
Sightseeing in the Lake Como area is pretty much just walk around town and visiting other towns along the lake by ferries. You can do around 2 or 3 towns in a day. I did not recall any noticeable restaurants but they weren't bad either. You guys are on your own on this one.
