Bali has always never been a top destination for me as it is further from Hong Kong than other nearby beach destinations. I was lucky enough to be invited to a wedding this time so it is a great opportunity to explore this side of the world.
Although more rustic in infrastructure, this island is pack with relaxed personality and top-notch hospitality. What I also love about this place is the lack of sex tourism which makes this an amazing place for a family holiday.
As this is a wedding trip, I didn't really do much touristy stuff, so this blog is really just a bunch of recommendations and picture dump.

Transportation
The streets in Bali is generally quite narrow so it is really Grab Taxi or Bikes. If you are brave enough of course you can hire a bike. That's not me though.
Accommodation
As I wanted a more Balinese experience, I have chosen the Zin Hotel Canggu which has 2 small pools and a great breakfast cafe. It also has a small gym and cycling studio should you wish to use them.
Another nice option is the Como Hotel Canggu where the other guests stayed.
Restaurants
The quality of food is generally amazing in Bali. You can't really go wrong with Google's rating. Here is just a photo dump of the places we/I went to.
The Lawn
Yuki
Luma (Recommended: Upscale)
Casa Tua Canggu (Recommended: Local)
Riviera Bistro (Recommended: Upscale)
NELAYAN cafe & eatery (Recommended: Casual Local)
The Wedding
After so many years of planning and covid delays, the JJ wedding is finally here at the most beautiful Soori Bali Hotel.
Lara's Birthday Another great day to recover and celebrate Lara's first birthday at the villa!
Wellness
Again I did barely any tourist stuff but here are some recommendations for relaxation and wellness.
Tranquility Spa canggu
Not the best one in town but a great alternative nonetheless.
Serenity Eco Guesthouse and Yoga
A great establishment right across my hotel with a fantastic range of yoga classes and top quality teaching.
